Thornwood Preserve Camping
- Reservations: Reservations may be made by calling the Greenfield Parks and Recreation Office at 317-477-4340 from 8:00 am-4:00 pm Monday-Friday with at least a seven-day notice. Reservations can also be made online by visiting parksingreenfield.com/family. The reservation fee of $20 per overnight stay and per campsite must be paid in full at the time of booking. Reservations are on a first come first serve basis.
- Hours: Check-in for the campsite should be no later than 6:00 pm on the night of your stay. Check-out is the following morning(s) by 9:00 am. There is a maximum of a two-night stay. Camping is on Friday and Saturday nights only through the months of April-October (weather dependent). All personal items must be removed at the time you leave. Any item left will be disposed of by our employees in their cleanup process.
- Refunds: A refund will be granted if notice is given 14 days prior to the reservation date (refund comes in the form of a check only and takes 4 – 6 weeks to process). Cancellations may be done by calling the Greenfield Parks and Recreation Office at 317-477-4340 from 8:00 am-4:00 pm Monday-Friday. Cancellations within 14 days will not receive a refund. No refunds will be given due to inclement weather.
- Alcoholic Beverages/Smoking: Serving alcohol is not permitted for our rentals at this time. There is NO SMOKING in Park facilities/or parkland per Park and City code.
- Clean Up: Accidents…if you have one, please clean it up. You are financially responsible for broken equipment and mishaps that aren’t from normal use.
- PLEASE NOTE: Park maintenance employees maintain the campgrounds. You are required to leave the site as you found it.
- Debris: Trash should be put in one of the trash cans throughout the park, or taken with you. Please do not leave trash and clean up your campsite at the end of your stay.
